Origin Blood is a thrash oriented group who has been around since 1997. The
four piece band includes founder Robert Ahrling on vocals and guitars,
Robin Sjöstrand on lead guitar, Simon Niklasson on bass and Brian Petersen on drums. In
October 2002 they entered Flat Pig Studio, owned by Robert, to record their
debut album *mr. Jakker Daw*. They spent a little over a year in the studio
to focus on the quality factor. After a couple of listens, it is easy to see
why nice and slow was the way to go. Gaining acclaim wasn't slow for them
however, as they had been chosen to open for Entombed in Stockholm in
December of 2004, they have played in Germany and were picked to play this
summers Malmöfestivalen. They will start recording their second album soon.
